In this video, I provide instructions on how to access multiple application shortcuts for BlackBerry 6 devices. These shortcuts are available on earlier BlackBerry models; I don’t have one for a demonstration. If you don’t know what application shortcuts are, watch this video. They are very useful when it comes to being productive on your device. I’ve been using them every day since I discovered them on my Curve 8900. Kris here, coming in to make a quick addition to this great post. For those of you NOT on BlackBerry 6 OS, don’t worry, I feel your pain. As you may know, I’m currently running an OS5 BlackBerry 8900 which has a trackball. Switching to Application Shortcuts is a huge trackball saver because the more you use app shortcuts, the less you use your trackball for navigation. Below are the steps to activate app shortucts on Os 4 and 5 BlackBerry smartphones.
For OS4 & OS5 BlackBerry devices.:
- Press the green Send button
- Hit the Menu key
- Â Select Options
- General Options
- Â Dial From Home Screen
- Select ‘No’.
