The home screen wallpaper is a fantastic prop to help make any wallpaper of yours more dramatic. The wallpaper has a grassy patch at the bottom of the screen with a small haunted house, sinister jack o’ lanterns and twisted tree to complete the scene. As you change wallpaper, this mask of props stays constant, adding a layer of elements to your home screen. The theme is very wallpaper friendly.
The grass hides the full size icons, 6 in all that are user customizable. As you scroll over them, they pop up from the grass, like old cemetery headstones and the witch flies across the screen on her broom! You have GOT to experience this animation!
As for the theme elements, there is no OCD but BeWeather’s wallpaper option or Quick Weather (both sold separately) will fit the bill. The clock and date are done in a matching creepy-looking font. There is a notification bar at the bottom as well. All elements are compacted pretty well so this theme has lots of real estate to show off the animation.
The apps screen consists of grey and black square buttons that add to the overall effect of the theme. All you need is a spooky ringtone and you have the perfect Halloween theme carried through entirely. The highlight on the menus and lists is a gradient orange on black, and as for easy readability and contrast; there is nothing better.
A very neat added bonus is the custom icon of a moon for the battery. Full when your battery is full, of course, and dynamic as your battery levels change, so does the moon. The stars are your signal meter. Talk about custom icons! As your signal changes, the stars twinkle. Click the stars and you have a shortcuts to Manage Connections.
