Government BlackBerry Purchases Halted

A recent post from a news source says that the California Senate will stop purchasing cell phones for employees to save money. I work for the government and I know how cheap they can be. Aside from being cheap, this could be a great way to kick start some savings on the part of state governments. Do you have any idea how much they spend on mobile devices? Well, neither did I until I read this post. I suggest you check it out. It’s a short article but, it does provide some insight. I wonder how well RIM could manage if all of our government heads decided to cut BlackBerry purchases.
