Former RIM (now BlackBerry) co-CEO, Jim Balsillie sells his entire stake in the company. A year ago Balsillie was the second largest shareholder of the company at 26.8 million shares, today BlackBerry disclosed that Balsillie no longer holds any shares in the company.

Mike Lazaridis, who still serves as vice chairman of BlackBerry, owns 29.9 million shares in the company. Balsillie’s sale of his entire stake of a company whom he no longer has any control of or its future is pretty straight forward.

The market might take it as a bad sign as BerryReview states:

Either way it seems like BlackBerry has separated themselves from Balsillie
