BlackBerry user/rapper/entertainer/actor Drake will end his “Away From Home” tour by launching his very own festival. The first annual OVO Festival is scheduled to end his headline tour on August 1. OVO Fest is going to be a multi-artist festival featuring Young Jeezy out of Atlanta, Bun B of UGK out of Houston, Francis and the Lights, and other special guests. The show will take place in his hometown of Toronto. Drizzy Drake told Billboard magazine that the daylong celebration at Molson Amphitheatre will blow some minds. The best part is that  OVO fest is in association with BlackBerry. Not sure how BlackBerry is associated, or what role they will play in the OVO, but we can make sure RIM is going to take complete advantage of this and try to advertise their delicious new refreshed smartphone that is scheduled to launch soon.

“I truly believe this is entertainment at a level that the city has never seen before,” Drake said in a statement. “I’m hoping that it is a safe and magical night and that OVO Festival becomes tradition every year.”

OVO Fest was created by Drake’s own entertainment company, October’s Very Own, alongside longtime collaborators Oliver El-Khatib and Noah “40” Shebib. Tickets range from $25.75 CDN – $93.75 CDN and can be purchased at ticketmaster.com.

It took theYoung Money rapper a week to hit the charts at no. 1, selling an impressive 447,000 copies of his first album Thank Me Later to top the Billboard. According to Billboard.com, Drake’s album performance records the third-best sales week of the year for a single album. Will you be attending OVO Fest?
