Drink.Drive.Go to jail.Those are the exact poster words from TxDot, The Texas Department of Transportation. The slogan may have been implemented in Texas, but the message is the same everywhere else. Around the holiday season,law enforcement agencies nationwide will be cracking down and working overtime to find and arrest drunk drivers. Heineken USA and their partners hope to raise awareness of the consequences of a DWI and DWI convictions.
They have released a free app called Taxi Magic that works from your iPhone, Android, BlackBerry or Palm Pre to catch a cab. Download it at taximagic.heineken.com and book yellow cabs through the application, by SMS text messaging to TMAGIC or online at taximagic.com. Taxi magic will give updates on car bookings, arrival times, your route, estimates fares and can tell you the taxi number or driver’s name. Standard fares still apply, but the app does offer a credit card payment option. The service applies to cab fares in the District and Alexandria, and in Montgomery, Arlington, Fairfax and Loudoun counties.
