Does MeeGo-based Sailfish OS look familiar?

While doing a little browsing and reading, I came across an interesting finding. The Meego-based Sailfish OS by Jolla – a Finnish tech startup.

You might be wondering what on earth this has to do with BlackBerry and I have two similarities to answer that question.

Meego OS, though it was to some people the best user experience on Nokia, it is what some say was Nokia’s last kick before going all-Windows Phone. Now ex-employees of Nokia have decided to revamp the OS and redesign it with features like android app sideloading. If you are a BlackBerry enthusiast I’m sure you are following and are quite familiar with this story.

The other thing is the homescreen and its most highlighted gesture interaction. While its not entirely BlackBerry 10 UI, I see a little Windows 8 in there too. Check out the video:
