My monthly app analytic post is due as Distimo has just released their July publication. Usually Distimo reports on the top overall applications downloaded and purchased through markets but they decided to switch things up in their July publication. This month they focused on mobile gaming, looking at game popularity, pricing and monetization. What really caught my attention was that for the first time, the BlackBerry PlayBook was included in the study (correct me if i’m wrong, I missed last month’s publication). With that said, let’s examine some findings.
Looking at the Free BlackBerry PlayBook games downloaded above gives a picture of the top 10 free games available for the PlayBook. The River Test and Doodleblast made the top 5 while the optimized PlayBook Need 4 Speed and Bubble Birds landed at the bottom 5. Check below to see which paid games made the top 10.
Glancing at the paid apps for the PlayBook we see Pixelated Plus hold the number one spot for the top paid downloaded PlaBook app while Aqualux at number 10.
