Could The BlackBerry Q5 Be Coming To AT&T?

As the rollout of the BlackBerry Q5 continues, it seems as if the US market has been ruled out for the device. However, a recent rumour suggests that at least one carrier may be looking to sell the device to Americans – AT&T.


The rumour contains no further details, as it was nothing more than a brief tweet, but it comes from @evleaks – a very well-known and reliable source in the industry.

If you give the idea some thought, the move could make sense for BlackBerry. Although they were originally planning to keep the Q5 out of the US, BlackBerry 10 has not been doing as well in the market as they had hoped. By throwing a low-cost device into the mix, they might be able to get more people to give the platform a chance. It’s still a rumour at this point, but I’m inclined to believe this one.
