CES 2011- BlackBerry PlayBook Becomes In-Car Controller Powered by QNX

Plenty of guys had the chance to get their hands on the QNX powered PlayBook tablet but 1 crew got a unique interview along with a cool demonstration on the QNX platform and the software working in a variety of devices displayed at CES.  Check out how its in-car software can help you use your BlackBerry PlayBook to control your car powered by QNX  software.

The demo they saw was astounding. Instead of using the nav screen, be the pilot using your PlayBook. Using the QNX car app, you can power your vehicle’s in-car monitors, including the speedometer and the entertainment unit. The demo displayed has the speedometer as a full LED display that’s connected to the Internet. Bring apps to life like Pandora and YouTube straight to you in your car and control the entertainment unit with the PlayBook as well as have realistic maps or song album covers overlaid next to your speedometer.
