New Built For BlackBerry Program Introduced by RIM

RIM has just announced a new program called “Built For BlackBerry” which is a stepping stone for partners to build and construct market-leading BlackBerry accessories and parts. The products that are “Built For BlackBerry” are designed to function with BlackBerry smartphones and the BlackBerry PlayBook which is set to launch between Feb and March of this year. Not only will tangible parts will be constructed but the program is said to offer technical, strategic and marketing support, allowing top quality accessories specially for your BlackBerry handset.

So far, members in the “Built For BlackBerry” Program include: Case-mate, Speck, Incipio, Otterbox, Tru Protection, iGrip, Vaja, Dicota and Trexta. These parties are brand leaders in their markets and offer products that appeal to a wide range of BlackBerry subsribers. Official licensed products will be identified by the “Built For BlackBerry” insignia marked on packaging and marketing substances.
