Wow this is some serious stuff here. Check out the latest app released for BlackBerry that may revolutionize the way Airlines function. If you’re a Gulf BlackBerry user, you can now use your mobile device as a paperless boarding pass when checking in for British Airways flights, the UK based carrier reported earlier this week. In the summer, British Airways launched the Mobile Boarding Pass app for iPhone users. Now, the service has been extended to BlackBerry users. It is recorded that more than 250,000 customers have downloaded the app since its July launch, with roughly 30,000 iPhone users taking advantage of the service.
The facility allows passengers to get up-to-date flight information and can be substituted for a printed boarding pass and much more. It’s been said that the app will be available to Android-operated mobile smartphones in December, which is just next month. British Airways currently operates 67 weekly flights from 8 Middle East markets to the UK.
