The BlackBerry Z3 is headed to Hong Kong and South Africa

The BlackBerry Z3 continues to populate in more countries and this time, the device is expected to land in Hong Kong and South Africa next week

Beginning July 8th, the BlackBerry Z3 will be available through carriers such as 3 Hong Kong and authorized retailers such as Broadway, Fortress, Wilson, Suning, Chung Yuen, Nuance Watson and CMK.

Gallant Leon, Managing Director for Hong Kong and Taiwan at BlackBerry said, “Hong Kong is a key market for us and we are excited to be working with our partners to bring in the BlackBerry Z3 to customers here. This device gives users more ways to connect, share and communicate, providing the best tool for secure, reliable communications and collaboration with friends, family and co-workers. Priced affordably, the BlackBerry Z3 will extend the full capabilities of the BlackBerry 10 Operating System version 10.2.1 experience for a new generation of customers in Hong Kong.

Also, during sometime this month, the BlackBerry Z3 will be available for customers in South Africa from carrier Vodacom for the price of ZAR 299 (US 278.50, £162) and will be available through the Vodacom Smart Plan at a cost of ZAR 249 per month, which works out roughly £23/£13.50.

“The BlackBerry Z3 smartphone gives users more ways to securely communicate and collaborate and extends the BlackBerry 10 platform experience to a new generation of South African customers at an attractive price point,” said Yudi Moodley, Managing Director at BlackBerry for Africa.

South African customers are also being treated to an app offer from BlackBerry when you purchase your BlackBerry Z3 from Vodacom. By simply signing in to BlackBerry World, they will be eligible for premium apps, for free, worth up to ZAR 430.

It’s good to see BlackBerry taking advantage of populating the budget friendly Z3 handset everywhere they can, the more places the better.
