BlackBerry PlayBooks to Eventually Receive BB10 OS

Looks like hardware isn’t the only thing RIM is working on improving with the BlackBerry PlayBook.  Apart from the recent upgrade to OS 2.0, BlackBerry PlayBooks will be receiving an upgrade to the much anticipated BB10 Operating System.

The news about the OS upgrade was reportedly confirmed by RIM to TechRadar.

“We’ve said publicly a number of times that our first BB10 handset will be available towards the end of 2012, and that’s still firmly the case,” Rob Orr, RIM’s VP for Product Management reportedly told TechRadar.

Orr further added, “At some point after the launch we’ll bring BB10 to our PlayBooks, yes.”
