RIM has decided to make a bold change to its upcoming Operating System 7, by refreshing its mobile virtual keyboard. According to GadgetHelpline, the change is set to land on the BlackBerry 9810. The updated virtual keypad will feature squarer, cleaner lines and edges designed to adhere more to the design aesthetics of the one found on the PlayBook tablet.
Some noticeable differences that we’ll see will be that the enter keys on the left and right side have swapped position with the numbers and enter keys respectively, and there’s now also a button for minimising the keyboard. RIM is still trying to find different ways to stand out from the rest of the touchscreen market. Lets hope that this change can still allow RIM’s successful email system to be fast and efficient for BlackBerry users.
