In the past, memory leaks have bothered a few BlackBerry users out there. After some research, many users still can’t seem to find a solution for BlackBerry Memory Cleaning. I’ve also come across some help online, just in case you need to see something in written form. This was scooped off of Ehow, so this is what they recommend, basically its the same thing that Liaison has provided us with.
1) Clear Cache. Open the browser. Hit the menu button (the one with the dots) scroll down to “Options” press the roller ball or select. Then to “Cache Operations” press the roller ball or select. press the roller ball on all options on this page until the size is at 0. Hit the back button (the arrow). The screen will say cleaning memory. When this finishes hit the back button once more. Close the browser by hitting the menu button and scroll down to “Close”.
2) Run the memory cleaner. From the menu button locate the “Options” tab and hit the roller ball or select. Scroll down to the “Security Options” and select. Scroll to “memory Cleaning” and select. On the status hit select and make sure to choose “Enable” then hit the back button until you get back to the menu screen. There should now be an Icon that looks like a paper shredder labeled “Memory Cleaner” select this Icon and allow the phone to do its thing. When finished hit the RED hang up, End button to get to main screen.
3) While on the main screen hold the “ALT” button while pressing the letters “LGLG” This will bring up a screen that says “Event Log (Warning)” If there is nothing on that screen (it will look like a foreign language)Hit the menu button. Select “Refresh” this will make the box fill. Hit the menu and select “Clear Log”. Hit the “End” button and you have successfully cleared your memory on your Blackberry.
