BlackBerry Curve Plays Significant Role in Upcoming Suspense Movie ‘Buried’

The first thing that appeared on the television tonight was a commercial advertising the new independent thriller-horror film ‘Buried’, starring Ryan Reynolds. When the movie trailer first came on, the volume was down so the tv didn’t draw my attention until I looked up and saw a BlackBerry. You just know when you see a BlackBerry from a distance, some heavy users might know what i’m talking about. Anyways back to the movie, I then did a quick YouTube search and did some research on it as well.

A truck driver awakens buried alive six feet underground with nothing but a lighter, a knife and a cell phone. (BlackBerry Curve). At first he wonders what happened to him, but then gradually, he starts to remember what really happened to him.
The film will be in select theatres September 24, 2010 and in theatres everywhere on October 8, 2010

Looks pretty suspenseful doesn’t it? Pretty wise decision to go with a BlackBerry in this scenario. Better yet, I don’t think I would want any other device other than a BlackBerry in that kind of situation. With the efficient connectivity from messaging, to getting proper reception, the BlackBerry works only in your favor. Not to mention the great battery life you get out of one of these devices. It’s amazing. Can competing smartphones application capabilities get them out of this one? Is there an app for that? I hope i’m not jinxing this, and the Curve turns out to be nothing but a hindrance. I guess we’ll have to see when it hits theaters in October. What do you think?
