If your an AT&T customer and haven’t downloaded the BlackBerry Bridge app via OTA, then the wait is finally over. As of July 1st, 2011, the app is now available in BlackBerry App World. This app allows you to access existing messages, contacts, calendar, memopad, tasks, and BBM that appear on your BlackBerry smartphone onto your BlackBerry PlayBook. It even allows you to access a Bridge browser on your PlayBook which brings the data services on your BlackBerry Smartphone to your PlayBook (in the event your outside Wi-Fi coverage. But not so fast! This feature will not be available for free on AT&T unlike other service provides. If you want to use this feature, you are going to have to purchase a tethering plan. This somewhat steals the thunder from the PlayBook, since this was a huge feature; Being able to use your data services on your PlayBook, all for the same price of your smartphone data plan. Despite that, I still feel the BlackBerry PlayBook is the most powerful tablet on the market and the best. If you have a PlayBook and a BlackBerry Smartphone, just click here to download from BlackBerry App World.
