Continuing from my earlier posts: Top 25 Newest & Top 25 Free Apps, you can see that downloading from the “Top 25 Paid Apps” tab will cause you to give up a few bucks but hey, at least you can purchase apps with a credit card now. I remember a time when App World purchases were PayPal based(just recently closed my PayPal account actually)
There’s a healthy mix of applications within this category. Social networking and productivity still conquer. Believe it or not, there are 3 Facebook chat apps available. Apparently, being able to chat with FB friends & family, on the go, is what BlackBerry users like. With RIM building Facebook 2.0 & with Facebook.com integrating the chat and messaging functions, third-party chat apps will be unnecessary soon and consumers should be able to save a few bucks. Along with Facebook chat apps, we have Shazam Encore & BeBuzz. Shazam is popular app known for its ability to find a song online if you allow your device to “listen” to the audio. BeBuzz(Berrry Buzz) is an LED notification color changing app. Most people use it as a filtering method to differentiate between message types & contacts. It also has a small message “pop up” feature. It’s a very popular application that has been around for quite some time now and I’m sure anyone with a new BlackBerry would be willing to give it a go.
