Summer is just around the corner and things are really heating up with the Unity BlackBerry 10 Open Beta announcement and many new exciting offerings in BlackBerry World! Unity is making it easy for any developer to bring their games to mobile devices – including the BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry Q10 smartphones – and the upcoming BlackBerry Q5 smartphone. Right now, Unity developers can port their content to BlackBerry 10 smartphones and test their apps.
Through participating in the open beta for the Unity BlackBerry 10 Add-on, developers have the chance to see how their content will run and interact directly with other Unity developers. And now for the best part…Unity has dropped their licensing fees for the engine’s basic tier making it entirely free for game developers! Look for the full release this summer and the ability to publish your application to BlackBerry World. Developers are publishing their apps and BlackBerry World has already seen such Unity titles as:
Air Attack, CreaVures, Dark Nebula: Episode One, Fractal, Gravity Lab, Psychoban, Roboto, Samurai II Vengeance, SHADOWGUN and Sushi Chop
