BlackBerry 10 Jam – Singapore
(July 9, 2012) For the Singapore leg of the BlackBerry 10 Jam World Tour, over 300 pre-registered participants attended the event. Both media and developers were reportedly impressed with the BlackBerry 10 demonstrations and the commitment RIM had towards developers. Right after successfully concluding the Singapore leg of the BlackBerry 10 Jam World Tour, the entire RIM team quickly headed for Indonesia.
BlackBerry 10 Jam – Indonesia
(July 10, 2012) The BlackBerry 10 Jam World Tour Indonesia leg was held at the JW Marriot Hotel in Jakarta, where 350 pre-registered participants attended the event.
Indonesians welcomed the BlackBerry 10 Jam World Tour, as it is well aligned with Indonesia’s national drive to establish a Creative Economy, and presents an opportunity for Indonesian developers to learn about and embrace the powerful and robust BlackBerry 10 platform in order to create compelling apps and content for the local and global markets.

RIM has been quite actively engaged with the developer ecosystem in Indonesia and has invested in a range of initiatives to encourage innovation and turn ideas and concepts into apps with commercial potential, ultimately creating jobs and businesses in Indonesia. One grass-roots example of this is RIM’s investment to create a BlackBerry Innovation Center with Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) that educates and empowers students to learn about mobile development.
