BES12 Cloud was announced earlier this year for all enterprises and small to medium sized organizations, and BlackBerry has rolled out an update that adds expanded multi-OS deployments support.
“On the Android front, the latest version of BES12 Cloud introduces Samsung KNOX Workspace, which allows end-users to manage Samsung KNOX enabled devices (devices running Android 4.4 and later) such as Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets in a Work/Personal mode as well as Workspace-only mode.
This release also supports Android for Work (AfW), which enables platform-level separation of business and personal data, and allows any application to run securely in the work side of the device without the need for application wrapping.
For customers deploying iPads and iPhones within their organization, BES12 Cloud now offers support for the Apple® Device Enrollment Program (DEP), which simplifies enrollment of corporate-issued iOS devices. Administrators can enable supervised controls over-the-air to manage large deployments of devices.”
BES12 Cloud is a cloud-based EMM solution that provides users with easy management for BlackBerry 10, Android, iOS and Window Phone OS smartphones and tablets. It also works with some Samsung KNOX and Android for Work (AFW) smartphones and tablets.
