How it works:
If you are faced with danger all you have to do is press the convenience key and BeGuard will activate, hide and start acquiring your location using four Geo-Positioning methods. It will even find you indoors!
Once your position has been acquired is then transmitted to an emergency contact (previously chosen by you) via SMS or Email every two minutes, until the emergency is over. Your emergency contact will receive a link that it can be viewed in any browser or mobile phone that will display your position in a map.
All email notifications are done via our central service so there’s no record of such emails sent by your phone. Nobody will know BeGuard is running!

Built in protection:
Once you have declared an emergency, BeGuard protects itself! If an third party has access to your phone and tries to erase the application it would only be able to erase the interface module, but the module responsible of sending out the notifications will still be functioning!
Also, when someone tries to deactivate BeGuard, the application will ask for a password. Is the password is entered incorrectly, the app would behave as it has been entered correctly in order to give the impression that it has been deactivated when in truth it has not and your position is still being sent!
