BBM for Windows Phone publicly launched last week in the form of an open, public Beta. You’ll be pleased to know that the app has received an update, bringing this version to v100.0.0.23. This update brings a long list of fixes including new features such as being able to start a group conversation, adding contacts via barcode scan and many more.
Some of the common bugs have been fixed which include:
- Contacts lose their avatars
- Toast message for invite when the app signing in
- Country and Time does not always show up
- Contacts / Chats / Feeds screens slow to re-appear when returning from another screen
- Emoticons are not rendering properly
- And many localization improvements
Along with bug fixes, the BBM team have been hard at work to bring Windows Phone users new features in which the other cross platform versions already have, including:
- Add a new contact in person with the barcode or using the suggested contacts feature.
- Chat with them and share a picture.
- If you’ve added a few new contacts, start a group!
- Follow changes using the Feeds panel, and give your contacts something to view in theirs by updating your avatar (display picture)
Remember to accept location sharing when installing the app and to report a bug you may have found, tap on “…” -> Settings -> about -> “report a problem”, be sure to be very detailed when describing the issue and then respond to the email with a screenshot of the bug.
