BlackBerry has finally decided to begin testing ads within BBM, this is their second form of monetization through a beta form, we previous reported on BBM stickers which are going to go for sale via BBM Shop through packages.Now if you see the image above BBM has begun testing ads through Channels and invites, Twitter like in a way where sponsored invites ads will show up in the invites section of BBM and sponsored channel posts will show up in the updates section of BBM channels featured section.
Hopefully these ads don’t cause much of a disturbance and help BlackBerry monetize BBM in some sort of way. What are your thoughts on BBM containing ads? Should BlackBerry monetize this way? These ads are said to be only on non-BlackBerry devices.
