Every month I take the pleasure in reporting to you Distimo’s monthly app report for the month covering the major ecosystems within the mobile market. Looking at the BlackBerry section in the April release, Distimo Report predicts BlackBerry App World to double in size over a six-month period. With the PlayBook tablet out in the wild now, Distimo’s claim might have some validity to it.

The title of this months report is “The battle for the most content and the emerging tablet market” so its safe to say Distimo will now put an emphasis on mobile manufacturers tablet app stats. The PlayBook was recently launched on the 19th of April so I wonder how long it is going to take for PlayBook apps to start showing up in Distimo reports.
