BlackBerry 8980 At The FCC

Michael, in the forums, posted some information and a link to the BlackBerry Curve 8980, and how it could potentially replace the Curve 8900:

New documents seen on the Federal Communications Commission web site provide details about an unannounced BlackBerry handset. The 8980, which appears to replace the Curve 8900, has quad-band GSM/EDGE radios in addition to Bluetooth and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi. Pictures published by the FCC show the 8980 to have a full QWERTY keyboard, 3.2 megapixel camera with flash, optical trackpad, and 3.5mm headset jack. Research In Motion has not officially announced this handset, and neither have any U.S. carriers.

Check the FCC documents for yourself to see some other images, and be sure to post in the forums your thoughts!  The wife and I are currently using the Curve 8900, and have been for almost 2 years now.  If this does replace the Curve 8900, and our provider picks it up, it’d be an easy switch for her.  Though I personally want the Bold 9780!
