Virgin Mobile Launches Newer, Cheaper BlackBerry Plans in South Africa

Virgin Mobile has just launched more affordable and flexible prepaid BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) plans in South Africa. to complement their usual 30-day BlackBerry Internet Service plan, Virgin Mobile has now launched a 7-day and 14-day option. Continue reading for pricing details.

Virgin Mobile customers have the option of three different BlackBerry Internet Service plans:

  • R19 for 7 days
  • R29 for 14 days
  • R59 for 30 days

“It is great to see smartphones and associated services like the BlackBerry Internet Service starting to penetrate the prepaid market. We expect the simplicity and convenience of our smaller denomination BlackBerry Internet Service offerings will appeal to prepaid subscribers who do not require this service throughout the month,” said Steve Bailey, CEO, Virgin Mobile.
