Recently Pootermobile released a new theme called Kurai. It means Dark in Japanese, and is quite elegant. And as all Pooter themes, this one is stellar. It’s a professional looking theme with very easy function and navigation, and sometimes you need that to get to all your apps quick and easy. The default home screen is clean and simple and when you need to focus on the function, too many bells and whistles can get distracting. Easy to read banner on the top with the clock and date, and 2 icons that are fixed. On the left manage connections, and on the right, search. These are both hot spots for the applications. The notifiers are placed right under the top banner, and battery, network, wifi all along the bottom banner. Simple, elegant and easy to use.
Clicking the 3 dots on the bottom banner brings up the 6 custom icon dock that are user defined. Pooter has added some creativity to this theme as well. The button change to orange and the dock is animated. It will split from each side when shown or hidden. To hide simply click the buttons again. See? Easy to use and simple, clean and efficient home screen.
The application screen carries the professional looking feel with a simple black background. The icons are gorgeous and custom. Focus and highlight color is orange allowing for clear viewing of what is selected. Pooter has chosen a very nice design and color theme for Kurai.
To keep it simple there is no ocd slot, and since I use mine mostly for weather, all you need to do is use the Berry Weather home screen wall paper option and voila, put it anywhere you want. I like this theme because of it’s simplicity and clean design. It’s not too busy and allows you to get you what you want quickly. The animation on the dock is a nice touch as well. I’m loving the navigation and small file size. If you want a theme that doesn’t require remembering a lot of hot keys, and one that functions well and is professional, then this one is for you.
