BBC News and BBC IPlayer have made there way to the BlackBerry PlayBook. The UK pubcaster has launched its icons and should now be featured with all new PlayBooks. The shortcuts, which will make it easier for PlayBook users to access the BBC services, were released this week and will be available to existing device users via a software update.
The launch is part of the BBC’s strategy to reach audiences across a wide range of devices including Android and Apple iOS devices. Lets hope that with the recently released software update these apps are available!
