The BlackBerry Z3 has finally launched in India, after much anticipation by the press and fans alike. The device can be pre-ordered with Flipkart and The Mobile Store for 15,990 MRP, with shipping expected to start from July 2nd.

The rumoured 25th June appeared to be correct. Sunil Lalvani, BlackBerry India’s MD took the stage to announce the device and to demonstrate the features that the BlackBerry Z3 has, including “Hinglish” – a combination of the English and Hindi language which has been incorporated into the BlackBerry 10 keyboard software. According to BlackBerry India, “Hinglish is the demand of the Youth”

The price tag for the Z3 in India is a little higher than what we’ve seen for the Indonesian and Malaysian crowd – priced in at 15,990 which comes out to £156.55/$265.49, a little more than what John Chen had promised.

Nonetheless, the BlackBerry India Twitter handle had a trend going on whilst the launch. “#BeonBB” which is always nice to see the Indian nation showing support.
