  
 Research In Motion has provided details concerning the new BlackBerry App World 2.0. The information was released earlier and from what has been heard, expect big improvements from RIM and the BlackBerry Appworld platform all together. The hilight of the new App World 2.0 is the ability to support carrier billing. That upgrade is a huge advancement that will combine and attract consumers and business users. The App World will still support PayPal, but BlackBerry users will have the opportunity to use their credit card or directly bill their carrier account for App World purchases. Convenient isnt it? There is more!
According to RIM, the search function has been radically improved and should return the most relevant results. The “My World” section of App World will contain more information about the user’s apps, including where they are stored (device memory or storage card), and what has been been deleted etc. RIM has constructed support for QR barcodes into App World 2.o. This will allow developers to put QR barcodes on advertisements or other areas where users can scan the code, which will link their device directly to the application in question
 RIM is also introducing BlackBerry ID. BlackBerry ID will enable users to create one master BlackBerry account that can be transferred from device to device, and carrier to carrier. No more haggling through your App World account when you swap devices or carriers. RIM did not immediately disclose when App World 2.0 or BlackBerry ID would become available.
