RIM releases information on their 2011 fiscal year via http://press.rim.com in PDF form for all to read. Luckily we’re here so you don’t have to dig through the technical jargin. RIM shipped a record number of BlackBerrys over fiscal 2010. A total number of 52.3 million, RIM says this was a growth of 43%.

RIM says revenue grew 33% over fiscal 2010 to 19.9 bilion.

RIM states PlayBook will be launched on April 19th.

RIM says the BlackBerry outsold ALL other smartphones in the U.S., Canada, Latin America and UK.

Now, these were just a few of the highlights printed in the press release. I had know idea RIM was doing so well.. Everyone likes to put the BlackBerry down like it’s an inferior product but, numbers don’t lie. I guess those other tech guys can finally see how well RIM is doing in the markets and bow down to the true genius that is Research In Motion.
