A new Wi-fi file sharing app has been released which allows access to you your BlackBerry directly from your Windows PC via Wi-Fi. The software uses a subset of SMB protocol that is used by Windows shared folder mechanism so no need to use a FTP client or browser.

SMB protocol is more convenient than using FTP or HTTP because you can not only copy or transfer files between BlackBerry and PC but also operate the files in BlackBerry directly, that means you needn’t save them to your PC firstly. By the limit of Wi-Fi connection speed and SMB protocol, it isn’t as fast as use a USB cable when operate big files. But it will be useful when you havn’t a USB cable at hand or just want to access some little files.
