Bring on the PlayBook Tablet

Last week at CES the PlayBook tablet was displayed for consumers to grab and tap. If you have yet to read details, full details can be read here. No official launch date has been set yet, but RIM did say we would see the new tablet hit the open market sometime around the end of Q1, which could be anywhere from Feb-April. We know RIM is working on hard to get this to us as soon as possible, they showed us at CES. One thing I’d like to add is, bring on the PlayBook!

Earlier this morning PCMag reported that Digitimes published an article stating that Quanta Computer has started production on the PlayBook, expected to ship sometime in the first quarter, and that it will produce more than one million units. A number of executives from Taiwan-based notebook makers have given recommendations on PlayBook’s OS and users interface after they tried on the gadget at CES, the sources noted. Like I said, bring on the PlayBook!
