IMG_00000030An OS update to bring Dev Alpha devices up to v 10.9.10.35 has been released. In a post on its Developer Blog last week, BlackBerry promised minor changes in the SDK, but that Hub and Maps would be enabled on Dev Alpha preview devices.

The SDK is also being updated to v. 10.0.10.261.  This is now available through the BlackBerry Developer Site.

UPDATE: Hub messaging is now functional, so developers can peek to their heart’s content.  The phone interface has now been made active, so Dev Alpha’s with active SIMs can now actually make calls(!).  Maps, alas, is there but seems to have trouble connecting to location data.
