According to a reports, Vodafone and RIM recently started a two-week long “service camp” at Vodafone India outlets. Customers will be able to buy new handsets at discount rates in exchange for old phones, similar to the (BlackBerry Trade-Up program). The report states the camp will go on till May 22 and BlackBerry customers, irrespective of their service provider, can avail themselves of services for free of cost during the camp.
Sanjay Warke, chief executive officer, Vodafone Essar Cellular Ltd, Maharashtra and Goa , said, “BlackBerry is no longer the aspirational communication device limited to business executives. It is now used by people from all walks of life.”
