A few days ago, word had it that Verizon would be begin to sell the BlackBerry Classic on Feb 26th along with a $50 mail-in rebate, bringing the price down from $149.99 on a 2 year minimum contract to $99.99. Verizon has officially confirmed this and you can purchase your BlackBerry Classic from Verizon (online) from Feb 26th onwards.If you don’t fancy purchasing the device online, you will need to wait until March 5th to get yours from any Verizon store. This is the second carrier to announce availability of the BlackBerry Classic within the past week, showing that BlackBerry is indeed beginning to recieve major US carrier support once again. Incase you didn’t know, the BlackBerry Classic is the latest device from BlackBerry, featuring the iconic BlackBerry QWERTY full keyboard and the classic trackpad. The BlackBerry Classic will be available online starting February 26 and in Verizon Wireless stores on March 5 for $99.99 with new two-year activation after $50 mail-in rebate debit card (takes up to six weeks and expires in 12 months). Verizon Edge is also available for eligible customers.
