Even though BlackBerry 10 has Yelp integration, there is no easy way to quickly pull Yelp listings from your smartphone using the default operating system. Instead, one would be required to make use of BlackBerry Maps to get results by searching for a spot and viewing it within the app.
A new application that goes by the name of ‘Search For Yelp’ is an app available for BlackBerry 10 which simplifies the task.
The app is from Qbo and it provides BlackBerry 10 users with Yelp listings without the use of Google Maps. Therefore, you can find good places to eat near your location right on your headset without the hassle.
‘Search For Yelp’ uses the Yelp API and lets you search for places to eat based on keywords (for example, taco). It does not let you rate or comment on listings, unfortunately. On the bright side, you gain full details of each listing and access to photos. In addition, you can save favorites and the best thing of all is, it’s free for download via BlackBerry World.
