Yo, ya boy Tay Jones here reviewing the very stylish HTC theme by EThemes, which is a great theme. This instantly changes your phone to a different style. People like me want options and this provides this for them. This is the revised version and it is a great upgrade. Let’s get into this theme and I’ll show you what it is all about.
There are a lot of little tricks to this theme. Like pressing the “F” button will launch your facebook, “T” will launch your twitter, “$” will launch your sms, and space will launch QuickLaunch. Also if you tap the top left corner of the screen it will pull down a menu that has options such as messages, bbm, twitter, facebook, calendar, and text messages. You simply tap the same location to make it go off your screen.
Next on the list you have another tap initiated menu. If you tap beside the clock on the left side it will bring up your profile settings, i.e. silent, loud, normal, etc… if you tap on the right side beside the cock it will switch to another clock format. All these little tap touch and quick keys are very nice and handy. Yet another tap location is just the top right screen. This brings up a menu of clock, networks and connections, files, media, ringtones, address book, options.

The theme offers 14 interchangeable icons, the first one is the preferred weather slot, and then from there you can arrange them however you like. You simply tap above the icons to slide to the next set of icons. The second icon goes in the slot of the bottom of the screen (this is where my browser is). The 14th icon is located on the bull’s-eye in the bottom left hand corner. So when I tap it, it brings up my calendar, very nice. The plus is simply the menu button and as I said in the video is one of the only downfalls to this theme. Occasionally when I tap it, it launches the icon directly underneath, just a little annoying.
One other thing that I have noticed that is a tad unfinished is the tap locations. At first you don’t really mind because of the sick theme you got but later you start to notice. When you scroll to the page with 8 icons and have the main clock as well, there is little room to slide back to the home screen of 4 icons. I catch myself scrolling the clock multiple times before getting the icons. A little frustrating if you have bigger fingers.
On the bright side, landscape mode is very nice on this theme. I have plenty of other themes that do not fill the screen and look terrible when turned sideways; check out my droidX theme review. So that is always just a nice touch to see that is working properly and it also has certain areas you can touch for quick options. If you tap directly to the left of the clock, it brings up your alarm clock, this is nice because when it is on my charging pod I can tap it and bring up my alarm clock and set it with ease.
Questions, comments, or concerns? Give us your feedback about the case and what you think. Any questions about this review or case just post and I’ll try to get back to you as soon as possible.
Even though I ragged on this a little bit I still say buy. This theme is an overall great theme and the updates are free so if you don’t like something EThemes and see if it will be released in the new update.
