Tempo by Yuki Sets the Pace for Your BlackBerry Phone

Tempo by Yuki is a premium theme for your BlackBerry phone that will set the pace as far as ease of use and attractiveness. The theme is simple and plain, with a classy banner and the ability to hide your OCD icon and dock. One hand operation make this theme a must-have for convenience!

Default home screen of Tempo

In almost all of my screen shots, you will see the OCD slot active, which I use for BerryWeather (a paid app sold separately) and the dock hidden. I do this because with one keypress…z…the dock appears. I can do this with one hand free. And to dismiss it, hit ESC.

The home screen banner is simple and uncluttered. The signal strength takes you to Manage Connections. The other keyboard shortcuts are 0=profiles, x=pics, and $=SMS. Show and hide the weather slot with +/-. I especially love the LARGE clock in the lower right-hand corner. The weather (or OCD) sits right above that. It makes for a classy looking home screen.

The dock is a 4 icon dock and the focus icon is an arrow which makes it easy to see which icon you are choosing.

The screen shots I am using are from my copy of Tempo Blast which is the teal color highlights. There is also a version called Tempo Fun which is Pink, for all you pink lovers. The menus are solid black with teal focus.

To buy this theme, which is available in both Pink and Teal and also for OS5 and OS6, go to Yuki’s blog here. The theme costs only $1.50.

It is a small price to pay for such a clean, uncluttered theme that runs so smoothly and accentuates your wallpaper and weather icons so well. It is a theme you will keep going back to.
