Sixty Percent of Twitter Traffic Comes Through Web Updates

According to reports, 60% of users tweets come from the web and the remaining 40% through Mobile, via sms txt or twitter app for smartphones. Also, CEO of Twitter, Dick Costolo has spoken on the future of his massive micro blogging site in Barcelona.

Costolo said in his presentation that he wants Twitter to look the same on all devices so customers don’t have to learn how to use it when switching from the Blackberry to the iPhone for example.

He also spoke about their revenue system

Every time I give an interview, I’m being asked when we are going to make money. The short answer is we are already making money”, he said. He even hinted to an increase in profitability in the future: “we believe that when you provide value to your users, this value will return three folds in ways you can’t even imagine”.
