RIM says BlackBerry OS 7 will NOT be available for older devices

RIM announced the lack of legacy support for OS 7 on older devices at today’s Bold 9900 unveiling. How do you all feel about this?

*UPDATE* It is being said that this is due to the QNX kernel not being able to support the older processors found in OS5/OS6 BlackBerry devices. Any processor slower than 1.2GHz will not be supported!
