Well It finally looks like BlackBerry Protect will be released in the next few weeks. A source over at BerryReview.com has received and email from RIM stating that they gearing their BlackBerry Protect Beta ready for the official launch.

BlackBerry protect will mark a milestone in device backup, giving users the wireless backup solution they have been crying out for, Allowing them to manage device backups in real time and even view the device’s GPS location if it ever gets stolen.

RIM has recently sent an email out current BlackBerry Protect testers advising them that the BlackBerry Protect service would be down for about two weeks starting from Wednesday 23rd Feb.

For that time the clients and website will both be offline and they will be deleting all current beta users data so be sure to perform a desktop backup if you are part of the beta, They have confirmed that the service will be back up and running in 2 or so weeks.

I personally can’t wait for this great app to be release.. Lets hope it’s soon!
