RIM shook things up with the PlayBook at CES in early January, and now they have the opportunity to be the center of attention again at another mobile event. The 2011 Mobile World Congress will be held February 14-1 , in Barcelona, Spain. This year’s Congress will include an exhibition with more than 1,300 companies displaying the cutting-edge products and technology that will define the mobile future.
This is where RIM steps in, or should step in. We know they have announced operating system 6.1 and even some recent device leaks have surfaced. It would be great if we can get some official confirmation on the new device leaks at MWC. If true, our super phone is one step closer to reality. I doubt the 97xx successor will be the super phone of our dreams, but it’s a start.
