It’s Official! BlackBerry Pearl 3G 91xx series

It’s official! As of today, the Pearl 3G 9100 and 9105 have been confirmed just days before the big WES 2010 showdown.

The latest Pearl 3G series should be available from a handful of carriers in May, and will be offered in two models as well as various colors.

One impressive leap RIM has done with the Pearl 3G is the ‘n’ in WiFi. The ‘n’ should allow very fast and responsive connections, especially when dealing with multi-media applications. RIM has also announced that the new Pearl series has been reduced in size, but still packs a strong punch. Here are some specifications of the new Pearl line:

  • Tri-band UMTS/HSDPA and quad-band EDGE/GPRS/GSM
  • 624 Mhz processor (like the bold 9000)
  • 256 MB internal Flash memory
  • 360×400 display (238 ppi)

  • Removable, rechargeable 1150 mAhr battery that provides approximately 5.5 hours of talk time on 3G networks
