While going over the February issue of Distimo’s App analytic report, I noticed something in the BlackBerry App world, particularly, in the “top paid apps section.”
If you look at the image above, Facebook chat makes the top 10 list twice. One version by Bare Apps and the other by Shendz. This tells us that BlackBerry users are willing to shell out the cash for a nice facebook chat app.

Yesterday, RIM released Facebook 2.0 for select beta zone members which includes a built in, integrated Facebook chat. Users can read my Facebook 2.0 review here and see for themselves how good the new fb chat has works. What gets me thinking is, how many more months will facebook chat apps make the top 10 paid list, and will he native facebook ever out knock off BBM as being number 1 in the top 10 free downloaded list?
