Its not another cross platform messaging service. No. Ekboo – Crypto Chat is in my opinion a security layer app that enhances the security of BBM. Ekboo is all about data confidentiality. Once you have another user to chat with via the app you can then begin a BBM conversation that’s as safe as the New York Federal Reserve.The app requires an optional initial reboot upon installation after which you open Ekboo and connect to BBM. Once connected you can invite friends to use the crypto chat.
The main feature of Ekboo is confidentiality of data, Ekboo users communicate using messages encrypted with RSA asymmetric key. Ekboo offers additional features that make it a powerful tool that enables very efficient communication and the ability to adapt to different conditions of use and operational situations.

- Panic Button – By holding the space bar for more than 5 seconds, it will delete and close all conversations instantly.
- Pin Lock Chat – A PIN can be configured to block access to Ekboo while the phone is active, preventing others from accessing active conversations.
- Encrypted File Transfer – You can send and receive files of any kind. Ekboo has been developed so that large files, such as videos, photographs and work documents, can be sent and received with the highest security.
Ekboo can save file in secure mode using Aes-256 algorithm
Ekboo offers more surprises buried under the already safe RSA asymmetric key algorithm encryption. The instant exchange of keys allows users to generate new keys at any time. Plus with Ekboo all conversations and contents generated are NOT stored anywhere on the device. Whenever the device or application is rebooted all Ekboo data is lost.
