With the PlayBook SDKs out in the “air”, recent discussions concerning development have arisen and activity seems to be streaming well. Even with heavy concentration towards the engineering and marketing process with tablets, the mobile platform still has not been forgotten. According their website, PhoneGap is an open source development framework for building cross-platform mobile apps. Build apps in HTML and JavaScript and still take advantage of core features in iPhone/iPod touch, iPad, Google Android, Palm, Symbian and Blackberry SDKs.
The positive? You get all the benefits of cross-platform development but can still build apps just the way you like. This stuff seems powerful. More BlackBerry developers might want to consider looking into this, as this could be a major chance to get your apps built.
