BlackBerry Tablet OS SDK for Adobe AIR Release – Tonight

Yes, it is finally here! Version 1.0 kicks off on what I am now dubbing as PlayBook Eve – for this holiday, Santa has come early. Developers have been waiting for this thing to launch for quite some time now and boy was the wait worth it.

From the BlackBerry Developer Website:

The Adobe® Flash® platform is an integrated set of application programming technologies, surrounded by an established ecosystem of support programs, business partners and enthusiastic user communities.

Leverage your existing Adobe® tools and content to create breakthrough applications for the BlackBerry® Tablet OS. If you’re an existing BlackBerry developer, add a new dimension to your development skills and create compelling applications for a new mobile device that complements your existing applications.

I am very excited for this. RIM states that developing apps will be a breeze with AIR – “So easy a caveman can do it.”  Check out the links below for a quick peak into all the neat littler offerings within the new Adobe Air SDK and start developing some apps today – I know I’m going to give it a try.
